US Dollars being refused in Guayabitos?

Our friends living in Rincon de Guaybitos report that Banks are refusing to exchange US Dollars. Is anyone else experiencing this?

    Yes we had that happen in Xalapa, Veracruz the other day - they suggested going to the money exchanger offices - very surprising as we have been changing dollars for five years here.

    There is always the ATM - but this is a change for sure.

    Very interesting and I think against the IMF code. I dont think you can tradeyour money on the world market and refuse that of a fellow IMF member.
