A tisket, a tasket, I need a bigger basket.

$70.00 worth of groceries looks like a small amount. UNTIL...

(scroll down from here, I don't know why this isn't formatting right)

I try to load it on my Yamaha V-Star 650. I did get a few looks in the parking lot while I was trying to overload my bike. I certainly got more looks on the freeway.

See, this is reason 43 why I belong in Mexico. People don't give you a second glance when you overload a vehicle. Its a common practice and Mexicans seem uniquely qualified in it.

  1. HA! One time on Isla, I saw an entire set of living room furniture (sofa, loveseat, chair, and ottoman being transported in a VW Bug with the top cut off. Behind them were two people on a scooter balancing a large bookcase. Moving Day!

  2. We get a lot of groceries in our little scooter. Really loaded we can add a backpack and sit stuff on the floor boards ;-) And we ALWAYS find a place to park.

  3. Good for you! I love overloading especially when it includes a cow!

  4. Hi Jan,
I could have bought a good size piece of cow for the costs of the groceries, actually it was the Alaskan King Crab that drove the price up. I got all the vegies and fruit for 1 dollar each.
